I cannot see which layers are active or not. How to get it visible I don't see any information after the layer names. Can some one help me?

Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums, @Bonhomme.

I've seen a few reports, on Mac and iPad, of the layer visibility icons not showing. I haven't seen any information about why that might happen, yet. But there might be some problem.

What OS and release are you running?

If you save the file, close the app, reopen it, and reopen the file, do they come back?

I've never seen this happen myself but if restarting doesn't solve it, try going to Preferences > User Interface and toggling light mode on and off. Or changing UI font size from default to large and back again. These sorts of changes sometimes fix interface glitches, at least temporarily.

I'm also on Catalina.

I can make the buttons disappear if I drag the panel out very wide. But it doesn't happen all the time. They reappear when I make the panel narrow again. I would hazard a guess there is a bug in the GUI toolkit, particularly as the buttons don't always disappear or don't always stay visible. It should be one or the other IMHO.

I saw another bug with the panels here.

Thanks , I tried it, but no success... still the same view

Can you try this:

  1. Drag the layers panel away from the group that it is in, so that it is a separate panel on its own.
  2. Drag the left side wide, maybe 8 inches (20cm), but don't do it quickly. A second or so is long enough.

Do the buttons appear?

Hi @Bonhomme,

Thanks for your report and our sincerest apologies for the delayed response here. We are exceptionally busy following the release of V2 and we thank you for your continued patience and understanding here.

I can confirm this issue is logged with our developers to be resolved, I will be sure to 'bump' this with our team now to bring it to their attention once again :)

The issue "Layer Visibility toggles won't show if you make the Layers Panel wider" (REF: AFP-5740) has been fixed by the developers in internal build "2.1.0.1742".
This fix should soon be available as a customer beta and is planned for inclusion in the next customer release.
Customer beta builds are announced here and you can participate by following these instructions.
If you still experience this problem once you are using that build version (or later) please reply to this thread including @Serif Info Bot to notify us.
