Wojtek Sosnowski
I am happy that so much progress has been made. However, WARP is so awkward it's infuriating. I was really hoping for warping images in Designer, i.e. perspective. I can warp images nondestructively only in photo but only one way is allowed. I can import it back into Designer and the images behaves as it should - it warps, it moves etc - but it is not the perspective I was hoping for. For the time being my workflow remains the same, which is a bummer. I would like to see image warping coming to Designer as well. thedivclass
tudor
Indeed, the Warp tools in Designer don't work on images. Not even the Perspective tool. That's a bummer. Wojtek Sosnowski
Cpt. Tom
I would also suggest to just add the affinity photo warping for images in affinity designer. I think it would even be ok and make sense to switch to the Pixel Persona for that. Wojtek Sosnowski
Wojtek Sosnowski
I am so frustrated. Designer has all the warp types I need. But those are not applicable to images. Images can be warped in Photo, but there is only one warp type!!!
DylanGG
I tried making a mockup and noticed images don't warp either. They should definitely adjust that and allow pixel warps in Designer as well. thedivclass and Patrick B

walt.farrell
One thought: you could consider working in Publisher, which gives easier access to both the Photo and Designer warping functions by switching Personas rather than switching applications. Staff Ash Posted February 15, 2023 Staff Share Posted February 15, 2023 Thanks for this feedback. We have now decided to include the raster based perspective and mesh warp non destructive live filters from Affinity Photo in the Pixel Persona of Designer and that is now available in the 2.1 beta released today. This allows the warping of images, embedded documents and other non-pure vector objects. The main thing to bear in mind is that these are raster based effects, and will mean any vector data you warp using these live filters will be rasterised when you come to export. It would be great if you wanted to try it out in the beta and let us know what you think - you can sign up to the beta program here.
