IsabelAracama
Hello Been looking around but can't seem to find any guide on how this exactly works? Any help? Don't see any difference with normal pasting. Cheers, Isabel Quote isabelaracama.com Youtube Tutorials
Staff DWright Posted January 12, 2016 Staff Share Posted January 12, 2016 Hi IsabelAracama, The paste without format option is used when you want to copy text but you do not want to keep the text formatting. When copying images this will have no effect. Regards, Darren
paolo.limoncelli
To see how it works open a web page and copy a selection of text. Open AD/AP and paste into a canvas. You'll notice that the font/colour/size/alignment attributes are retained. If you Paste Without Format only pure text is pasted. IsabelAracama
Hi guys and thanks for the replies. This is the issue. I've been doing exactly what you say, since initially it seems the action seems quite self explainative, but nothing is retained when normally pasting a red bold text from the web. That's why I was quite puzzled, cause the normal pasting and the paste without attributes seem to do the same to me. Anyone knows why this could be happening? Thanks again Quote isabelaracama.com Youtube Tutorials
Staff DWright Posted January 12, 2016 Staff Share Posted January 12, 2016 Can you please check that you are running version 1.4 also can you let me know the URL address of the site that you are copying the text from as when I test copying from websites it is clearing the formatting when pasted. Staff MEB Posted January 12, 2016 Staff Share Posted January 12, 2016 Yes, seems it's not retaining the formatting when copy/pasting from webpages both v1.4 and the Beta. Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software

Staff DWright Posted January 12, 2016 Staff Share Posted January 12, 2016 I have tested this and when using Chrome the formatting is being lost when pasted but when I used Safari it was pasting correctly. Does it paste if you use the Safari browser.
Staff MEB Posted January 12, 2016 Staff Share Posted January 12, 2016 Yes, it's depends on the browser. Safari works fine but in Chrome the formatting is lost. Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
IsabelAracama
I was using Chrome, but in my case, not even in Safari - Version 9.0.2 (9537.86.3.9.1) Please see link of a screenshot. Red bold text pastes as outlined text, although at least it tells me in the colour fill info that it is red and bold. http://postimg.org/image/47u7wvy79/ Thanks. Staff DWright Posted January 13, 2016 Staff Share Posted January 13, 2016 I will log the issue when copying from Chrome with the Affinity developers so that we can investigate this further. IsabelAracama
