Publisher crashes after adding Image

Publisher crashes as soon as an image is added to a page (jpg or png so far) after updating to the latest version.  Then uninstalled it all and went back to the previous version, 1.9.2.1035. Same issue

I hadn't used Publisher in a couple months so nothing had changed with the app. I don't have any .Net security updates installed as one thread suggested. I am at a Stand-Still with this.

Please help.

Uninstalling the application file does not necessarily remove the custom (and possibly damaged) preferences in various folders. Also installing an older or newer app version has no influence on these folders (at least with the currently existing versions of v1.x).

Instead you could try to reset the app to factory defaults.
• Hold the ctrl key pressed when launching the app > choose from the following dialog window.
• Or choose Preferences > Misc > Reset …
• Or remove or rename the according folders in this list:

macOS 10.14.6 | MacBookPro Retina 15" | Eizo 27" | Affinity V1

Are you sure?

Those updates have been installing for at least a month now, you should have received at least one, if not more

Please upload a screenshot of your installed updates

(Like the one you see below, from another user)

Hi @Raji,

If the reset instructions posted by Thomaso didn't solve the issue, then it is highly likely you have the .NET update installed thats causing a number of issues when working with Affinity.  So please have a read of this FAQ and you'll likely find the update has been installed.
