vib Posted August 24, 2022 Posted August 24, 2022 Open the Preferences window. Type anything whatsoever on the search bar. Nothing happens. It doesn't really searches for anything and doesn't show you for anything. For example, if you wanna search for where the hotkey for the Grid and Axis manager. Try typing "grid" on the search bar. And nothing shows up. Attached screenshot shows me typing "grid" on the search bar. Using Affinity Designer 1.10.5.1342 on Windows 10. Quote
walt.farrell Posted August 24, 2022 Posted August 24, 2022 Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums. It will search for many things, for example, try PSD (which should highlight the General section) or Limit (which should highlight Performance). But there are probably more things that it won't search for. Then it was forgotten. It is utterly useless. vib 1 Quote Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.6 Affinity Designer 2.6.0 | Affinity Photo 2.6.0 | Affinity Publisher 2.6.0 | Beta versions as they appear. Dan C Posted August 25, 2022 Posted August 25, 2022 Hi @vib, Welcome to the Affinity Forums I can confirm that the Search in the top right of the Preferences dialog is not designed to search for specific keyboard shortcuts, it is designed to find the category names shown in the Preferences dialog, and any sub labels from within these categories. However it is logged as an improvement with our developers to expand this search functionality to include the keyboard shortcuts section, so I will be sure to add a 'vote' for this in our internal development log for you now. I hope this helps! vib and Old Bruce 2 Quote
vib Posted August 25, 2022 Author Posted August 25, 2022 While it's awkward that search can't search for anything "by design". But I'm glad that there's a plan for eventually be able to use search to.. search for something Thanks @Dan C! Quote
