VitalRealm
Hello Affinity Team, I would love to have the origin of my coordinates (x,y) in the center of my page. Because I align my objects in relation to the center, it is essential to my workflow to have the origin in the center of my page. Example: If my page is 80x40 how do I bring the origin of the coordinate system to 40x20? Thank you, very appreciate your support. VitalRealm
Psenda thanks, unfortunately, this is a workaround that does not work for pages above 800mm. Try it out for yourself. What if your page is 1000mm... this workaround only allows you to set max 400mm @Affinity Team, that is such a basic function but seems to be missing! It should be in the Axis manager, but its not Dragging it by hand to a desired coordinate is almost impossible.

Turn on snapping and have it set to Spread and Include Spread Midpoints. Best to turn off Snap to Grid and Margins whilst doing this. Maybe this only applies to the Mac versions but for me X & Y in Guides > Spread Origin has no up/down arrows but I can enter any value I want in the field, including crazy ones like 6000 mm for a document that is only 282 x 212 mm, like this origin at 6000mm.afdesign example. So I suspect you can highlight the X or Y field & type in whatever values you want, including those well in excess of 800mm. But it can be circumvented by that the document units change to centimeters, the origin is set to 400 (centimeters), and then the document units are set back to millimeters so that the origin is 4000 millimeters, which is a directly non-adjustable value. Has this ever been reported as a bug? It certainly seems like it is one.
