How do I scale a shape that consists of two shapes combined?

Recommended Posts

I have stitched together a new graphic with two lightning shapes, and then I want to scale it, but I can only scale one of the lightning bolts, not them as a whole. What should I do to properly scale this new graphic made up of two lightning shapes?

That seems strange.
My first thought was that you might have “Lock Children” switched on but I don’t think that’s the case as I would have expected it to work differently to how it looks like it’s working.
I think it might have something to do with Constraints but I can’t tell from the GIF.
Would you be able to attach the file so we can experiment with it?

Why is this mask there?

Looks like it is a curves adjustment applied to the parent layer, as GarryP mentioned it is possibly related to constraints but it's difficult to know without the original file.

Check see if Lock Children is ticked in the Context toolbar when you have the Move tool selected and the to player selected.

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.
