NotMyFault
I would appreciate if Affinity provides a platform specific list of features, allowing to see what features are missing on iPad (and more rarely on Desktop) compared to the other platform. Currently, the iPad versions published feature list shows the same feature list as the Desktop version, but actually lacks a relevant portion FFT denoise, global source for clone tool, info panel, save jpeg with clipping path, coverage maps, (but these are buggy on desktop) Studio Link (since v2 we have Publisher able to switch to full Designer/Photo persona, but not when started in Photo e.g. with stacking) import color palettes (added in V2) view quality “nearest neighbor” creating procedural texture filters with self defined formulas Text labels for assets cannot pin tools like channels, histogram, scope, navigator to be always visible while doing edits Astrophotography stacking Commands requiring keyboard modifiers (like clone tool to set origin) clumsy to use Hover over (brush position / effect preview) Macro recording and usage Inpaint as command (affecting the selected area) HDR stacking: no ghost removal text on path with pasting images not working copy/paste via clipboard between Affinity Apps unreliable what else? Please add your comments In contrast, it offers some valuable features not available on Desktop: curves adjustments with linear lines ability to rotate canvas view to any angle, including numeric input Designer: full range of merge commands, e.g. merge visible Apple pencil support https://affinity.help/photo/English.lproj/pages/Introduction/keyFeatures.html https://affinity.help/photoipad/English.lproj/pages/Introduction/newFeatures.html This post gets updated when I get aware of new information. latest update January 2023 with V2 bananayoshimoto, Alfred and B0R10N 3 Quote Mac mini M1 A2348 LG34WK950U-W, calibrated to DCI-P3 with LG Calibration Studio / Spider 5 iPad Air Gen 5 (2022) A2589 Special interest into procedural texture filter, edit alpha channel, RGB/16 and RGB/32 color formats, stacking, finding root causes for misbehaving files, finding creative solutions for unsolvable tasks, finding bugs in Apps.
