Affinity Designer - How To Copy A Design Element into Multiple Artboards?

Recommended Posts

Hello! Im a print-on-demand designer and I have a question regarding copy & paste function in Affinity Designer.

Is there a way to quickly copy a design/design element from 1 artboard to many other artboards in the same working file? (The copied elements should land on the same position as the original one locates in the original artboard)

I tried ctrc C the element >>> then choose all other artboards in the right panel >>> then Ctr V but it just doesnt work.

I oftens create my design in artboard #1, then I have to manually copy it to the remaining artboards #2,#3,....,#100. Of course Copy & Paste function allow the design elements to land at the exact position in other artboards, but the process is very tiring.

Thank you very much & have a great day!

Just a thought but, If you are using Affinity Designer you might try making an artboard a symbol, so whatever you do on one artboard replicates to the others.Artboard as a symbol.afdesign

This kind of sort of sounds like a job for Publisher with Master Page(s) applied to Actual Pages.

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.

Just a simple 'paste on all artboards' from the edit menu would be welcome. That way single or multiple objects could be pasted at anytime to existing artboards unlike the artboard as a symbol method.

But how would that work for positioning the pasted item within each artboard, particularly if the artboards had different dimensions?

Could be an x/y position taken from the originating artboard. Some repositioning may have to happen occasionally and that's fine.

I'm thinking of titles and/or repeating copy information specifically when presenting client concepts so that the info is consistently presented and isn't jumping all over the place from page to page...

Any news about that feature? It exists in Illustrator and is very useful when you design slides like an Instagram carousel.

No news that I'm aware of unfortunately.
