Diane Window 10 Desktop AD Posted April 1, 2022 Posted April 1, 2022 Not sure what is going on but There is a line in my design. It really is more of it not lining up. I move the design and the and it stays in the same place. I thought maybe it was my monitor but it doesn't do it in AP. I just tried to print it and it seems ok but just want to know if it is something I can fix it is kinda driving me Crazy lol. I tried shutting down the program and it is still there (don't look to bad in screenshot but it is worse IRL) Quote Windows 10 desktop ram 8g
Staff Callum Posted April 1, 2022 Staff Posted April 1, 2022 Hi Diane, This looks like a redraw issue, if you go to Edit > Preferences and under performance set the view quality drop down to Nearest neighbour does the issue still occur? Thanks C Quote Please tag me using @ in your reply so I can be sure to respond ASAP.
Jimo Posted April 1, 2022 Posted April 1, 2022 I get the same thing sometimes. I think it's just related to the zoom percentage (Photoshop always did something similar on 'uneven' zoom percentages). I find it's not consistent though and I doesn't always do that glitch even on the same zoom settings. But basically just zoom in or out a little and it should go away. It's not really there - it's just a display issue I think and won't be there in any output or print. Quote
Diane Window 10 Desktop AD Posted April 1, 2022 Author Posted April 1, 2022 Thank you all for helping I do see when I zoom in it goes away but when normal size it is back. I did try the preferences but it still happens. I tried what all of you said but still a problem. Weird problem never noticed it before maybe last update not sure. Thank you all again:) Quote Windows 10 desktop ram 8g

What specifically do you mean by "normal size"? In your screenshot you are zoomed in to 14.6% but the font size for the selected art text layer is 449.4 points, so it is not clear to me what normal size should be. Alfred Posted April 2, 2022 Posted April 2, 2022 Try pressing Ctrl+1 to set the view zoom to 100% as @Hens suggested. Does the distortion go away? As @R C-R has observed, the font size for the artistic text in your screenshot is 449.4 points. There are 72 points to the inch, so that piece of text is more than 6 inches high: is that as it should be? Diane Window 10 Desktop AD Posted April 2, 2022 Author Posted April 2, 2022 The font is at 300pt at this time. I tried to do the ctrl 1 and that made it hugh in my screen. I made it larger and smaller by ctrl and roller on mouse it seems to be better now. I need the size font because for a tshirt need to be able to see it:) Thank you Alfred and everyone for all you help:) Quote Windows 10 desktop ram 8g

Because you are viewing it at 100%, it should be about the same size as it would be on a t-shirt. 7 minutes ago, Diane Window 10 Desktop AD said: I made it larger and smaller by ctrl and roller on mouse it seems to be better now. All that does is change the zoom level -- IOW, the size it is displayed at on your screen. It does not change the actual size of anything in the file. That's why it does not appear as a step in the History panel, there is no "undo" for it, & if all you do is change the zoom level after opening the file, you won't get a warning about unsaved changes because there are none. Doesn’t that depend on the size of the monitor? If you view the same document at 100% on your iPad and your iMac, I would expect you to see the same amount of it on both but with the dimensions on your iMac screen being nearly three times as big. I was not considering how this works on an iPad, but at 100% on my 27" iMac an object that is for example 8" wide according to the Transform panel displays at almost exactly 8" wide. When I use View > Show Rulers, at 100% zoom level their displayed size very nearly matches up with a ruler held against the screen.
