xena_studio Posted March 30, 2022 Posted March 30, 2022 Hey guys Sorry if this has been asked before I googled it but I found no answers. I want to curve multiple curves as one straight line. I've created lots of shapes like about hundreds of curves in a row and I want to convert them into one straight curve. as you can see in the pic I uploaded I can only move individual shape which is going to be a lot of work to bend them around. Is there a workaround this? Quote
GarryP Posted March 30, 2022 Posted March 30, 2022 Welcome to the forums @xena_studio From the screenshot you seem to have one Curves layer which is a single layer containing multiple curves. As far as I’m aware, you cannot ‘merge’ these curves into a single Curve layer. Also, Designer has no “bend”/warp functionalities for vectors except those that exist in the Node Tool. Quote

GarryP Posted March 30, 2022 Posted March 30, 2022 Not as far as I know, except for using other software. Try searching the forums for “vector warp” (without the quotes) to get lots of suggestions. Quote
Staff EmT Posted March 30, 2022 Staff Posted March 30, 2022 Hi @xena_studio You could try creating the pattern as a vector brush and applying it to a Curve as a Stroke, as below. This would give you the freedom to curve the pattern round. Quote Contact Support | List of V2 FAQ's | Affinity Online Help | Affinity Video Tutorials | Beta Software Forums | Bug Reporting Guidance
GarryP Posted March 30, 2022 Posted March 30, 2022 One thing to note about EmT’s suggestion above is that the result would not be a 'true vector' as the Designer Vector Brushes do not produce vector results, they apply a raster image along a vector curve. Quote

Kinda bummer affinity designer doesn’t have wrap tool! Quote
