Masks from Photoshop look terrible

See image - at the left is the original PSD - at the right the same file in AD.

I found this while refining the mask in PSD for the final layout in AD.

If you zoom in on the PSD file the highlight points do appear on that file also. 
You can refine the selection to create a Mask in Affinity Designer under the Pixel Persona.

I must say that there is a huge difference between PSD and AD even when zoomed in - or should I say especially when zoomed in?:

Did I understand you correctly: You suggested to refine the mask in the pixel persona of AD? If that's the case, I object. I don't use PSD's elaborated tools of masking just to mask it then in AD - that would make no sense. But maybe I misunderstood something... Thanks for making this clearer for me.
