Magnascha Posted March 7, 2022 Posted March 7, 2022 I have been using affinity designer for about a month without any problem. However, since a a few weeks now, when I use designer its getting stuck and is extremely slow. For eg: the app starts as normal but after a few seconds when I use a tool or a brush it gets stuck. It has been like this for about a week now. What can I do about this? Quote
Komatös Posted March 7, 2022 Posted March 7, 2022 Hi, @Magnascha and welcome to the forums. Maybe deactivating the hardware acceleration in Designer helps. Go to Edit -> Preferences -> Performance. In the lower part of this window you'll find the option. Untick the hardware acceleration. Komatös Posted March 7, 2022 Posted March 7, 2022 @Magnascha Be shure your GPU drivers and Windows are up-to-date. Does performance improve if you use a much smaller brush size? Also as you are also having problems in the beta, it would be best to make a post in the beta section so the QA can investigate this issue with the beta. Quote

Hellodesigners Posted March 8, 2022 Posted March 8, 2022 Hi, I (and also others users) have also a performance issue. Quote
Moohr Posted March 11, 2022 Posted March 11, 2022 Same here and it's not new ... will be great for Afinity Team to start solving this. Designer is specialy making my cursor slow laggy when I am over the UI ... wtf ? My cmputer is a beast build for 3D real time rendering so performance is not an issue, I am on Win 11 but that's should not be an issue too and I had this problem on Win 10 so what's happening ? Use to recomand Affinity softwares but it's unpraticle now and my GF has the iPad version crashing time by time making lot of hard work time lost. iuli 1 Quote
