Albo
Hello, Document is 7000 X 5000 px. When I select the image I want to export---> selection only It remains at the same size as the document. It won't scale. If I scale down manually and export it becomes even bigger. 14498 X 10057px and this is with selection only. I am missing a clue! GarryP
Which application are you using? What sort of selection do you have? (Layers selected or pixel selection?) What do you mean by “it remains at the same size”? What is “it”? What do you mean by “scale down manually”? Can you give us some full-screen screenshots which let us see your document, what you have selected, your export dialog, and what you get after exporting? Albo
Application: Affinity Photo Layer is selected The size of the object I am exporting remains the same size as the document Scaling down manually is taking a corner and dragging it to the size you want. Look at the name of the included screenshots for a description. Quote iMac mid-2017 3,6 Ghz / 32G
Wosven
Can you do some screen shotswith the transformation panel visible? When I test this, I don't have any problems. I added layers, masks and objects, and the size is right. Perhaps you have an element in the group, or a stroke that cause trouble?
Albo
Notice the difference between the size of the selected object and the export of the same object. Quote iMac mid-2017 3,6 Ghz / 32G
Wosven
Did you tried disabling or deleting elements in the group to check which one and its properties messed the result?
Albo
Yes, I did a quick search but I'm going to go through each layer and check that out. Let you know what I find. Many thanks Quote iMac mid-2017 3,6 Ghz / 32G
Albo
I have just checked every layer. Nothing special. All layers fit in the design so there are no big images outside the selection.I don't really know why this is going on. Since I have found a workaround I will just leave it. I don't have any problems with other files. Wosven 1 Quote iMac mid-2017 3,6 Ghz / 32G

If you can share the actual Affinity file, rather than just screenshots, one of us may be able to figure it out. Otherwise, you could share it with Serif via a private Dropbox upload link when one of the Moderators visits this topic. Albo
Thank you Walt, Like I said, this is most likely a one time problem and most probably related to something in my file. No use spending any energy on this. Quote iMac mid-2017 3,6 Ghz / 32G
GarryP
If you share the file that has the problem then someone at Serif can have a look at it and see if something can be fixed so that other people don’t have the same problem in the future.
