chasm
Hi All, I've watched 2 YT videos, Googled this and searched in the Help box in Publisher but I don't see how you activate the Layout Pane. Everything refers to how you can adjust Width and height under the Layout Pane but in my Affinity Publisher no Layout Pane appears. I looked under File, Edit, View tabs but don't see the Layout pane. Is this a special Toolbar choice? Thank you.
walt.farrell
I'm not familiar with anything called a Layout panel. Are you sure you have the term correct? What video mentions it, and at what timestamp? There is a Transform panel, which allows adjusting Width and Height of objects, but I'm not sure that's what you mean. chasm
It appears in the File > New but I was wondering if you wanted to change those settings how you can do that once the document is created. Playing around with AP it seems you must click on File > New again and it will allow you to change RGB, etc. I'm guessing that's what you would do also to change any settings even after you've saved that document with a name? Thank you.

In APub if the Move Tool is active & nothing in the document is selected a "Document Setup ..." button appears on the context menu toolbar. Sometimes it is quicker to use that than to open the File Menu, but quicker still is to set a keyboard shortcut for the File menu item. chasm
Alfred - Thank you! RC- - I see the Move Tool ad at this point I have nothing in the document as I'm just learning what the various tools do and how to navigate around in APub but I'm such a newbie I don't even know what the Context Menu looks like to view "Document Set Up. Is it possible for you to please attach a graphic of that? I noticed an area where you can create shortcuts. That will be invaluable down the road but at this point I'm just acquaint myself with what tools are available, where they are, what they do and how to best use them. It'll be a journey to reach where I'd like to be one day but I'm taking baby steps as I did in learning a video editing program. Thank you for all your kind help and patience. Is it possible for you to please attach a graphic of that? In my earlier post I apologize for incorrectly saying "context menu" instead of "context toolbar" (now fixed via an edit). The context toolbar appears below the main toolbar & as the name suggests, its contents change depending on the tool & what (if any) item is selected. If you do not see it below the main toolbar, make sure "Show Context Toolbar" is ticked in the View menu.
