How can I change the sharpness of edges of a selection? And how to blending the edges of a selection with new background?

When you choose one of the selection tools, you should have a Context menu at the bottom of the screen with a Feathering option. Set that before making your selection.

There are two filters that can help remove the dark or light aura that sometimes shows around the selection when a new background layer is added. These are the Remove Black Matte and Remove White Matte filters. It helps blend the image to new background by reducing the darker (or lighter) pixels around the edges of the selection.

Are you sure? The help file states that it identifies semi transparent pixels around the edges of a selection but I’ve never really checked to see if other areas are effected.

Seems you are correct. I mixed this up with "erase white paper".

I’m very very sorry but don’t understand how to use the two filters. I created a mask and under the masl level i put a new fill color layer, but when i apply filter remove, doesn’t happen. Or if it happens then i lose my level with mask and i have only a single raster level.

The filters work on 'Selection' edges in pixel layers not mask layers. Try outputting your selection as a 'new' layer, ( no mask), then apply the filter to that new pixel layer. The effect should then be evident.

If still having an issue, do you have a sample project that you could attach?

Not live,  but you can simply undo if you don’t like the effect.
