Adding linked text box gives tiny and massive type

This is definitely happening to me after opening an .idml.

I can't switch to Affinity Publishing if opening .idml docs is going to be this problematic. Master elements at the top of the page disappear and text boxes that have a two columns become a single column across the page. When I re-size the text frame (using the blue dot at the bottom of the frame, not the one outside of the frame), then flow the text to a second text frame, it's tiny -- like 2pt

I have seen this before. There is something about some IDML files that cause this. I do not know what it is. Perhaps if you could post the IDML file here someone could offer up an explanation.

Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.4
Affinity Designer 2.4.1 | Affinity Photo 2.4.1 | Affinity Publisher 2.4.1 | Beta versions as they appear.

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.

Hi @CindyFaye,

Welcome to the Affinity Forums :)

As Bruce has requested, a copy of this IDML file before importing would certainly help our team to investigate this further. Is this something you're able to provide a copy of here?

Please do let me know if you'd like a private upload link for this file!

Please note -

I am currently out of the office for a short while whilst recovering from surgery (nothing serious!), therefore will not be available on the Forums during this time.

Should you require a response from the team in a thread I have previously replied in - please Create a New Thread and our team will be sure to reply as soon as possible.

Many thanks!
