phil146
HI-Just getting started with Trial Version of AF Photo. When watching the 1st tutorial, I noticed that some menu items in the Trial Version are missing on the top of the screen below the Toolbox. Specifically, I see the Personas line with Enhancement, Selection, etc. but no pull down items below that (and above the image window). I check edPreferences and also for anything that I may have missed. Is this because I'm using the trial, or is the tutorial based on an earlier version, or did I miss something? Thank you. william7
Can you provide a link to the tutorial? If my understanding is correct, either of your assumptions may be correct.
phil146
Hi William. It's in the first tutorial. I guess they're tabs under the Toolbox items, i.e., Levels, Black and White, Cropping,, etc. Not sure why they don't appear in the Trial Version. william7
Just to check are you sure you are in the photo persona (the purple icon that is like the apps icon)?

Staff Leigh Posted November 17, 2015 Staff Share Posted November 17, 2015 Try going to View > Show Context Toolbar. Does this bring them back for you?
phil146
Unfortunately, no. Thanks for the suggestion.
Staff Leigh Posted November 17, 2015 Staff Share Posted November 17, 2015 Are you referring to the part of the UI in the orange box?
Staff Andrew Tang Posted November 17, 2015 Staff Share Posted November 17, 2015 The items on the context toolbar is based on the tool selected which is on the left side. They will also only appear if you have a document opened. Is it possible for you to post a screenshot of your trial version?

william7
AHHH. I think I have it figured out!! If you are referring to the Items highlighted in blue in my image, they aren't appearing because they aren't tools in affinity they are the files used for demo purposes in the tutorial. those are file tabs and clicking between them allows you to switch images. You can see this on your machine by opening a second image. Hope this helps! Leigh and MEB
