Strange UI glitch/bug

Recommended Posts

(image.png.59aefc9a9857832073116aff85e9f016.png

I've been using affinity photo and designer for about a year now, and about a week ago I noticed this happening. Some buttons on the UI disappear when I move my cursor away from them, some display strange, stretched text and occasionally the entire UI becomes invisible at inconsistent intervals. I've tried a fresh install of the latest edition and an older edition both in different folders and both have the same issue...

Affinity has served me well over the past year, but this is making work impossible. Does anyone have any suggestions or experience with the same issue?
Yes, I have tried updating graphics drivers.
I'll happily provide any additional information or try any fixes, I'm desperate to fix this...

Attached: Image of my brushes UI with a typical issue.

Try HW Acceleration off.

My issue has cleared up today.

And what made it clear/correct? It might be of interest to users with the same problem.

I wish I knew sir. Did nothing different vs yesterday. Thanks for your help. Please don't hesitate to ask for mine in any way. For some reason both photo and photo.beta are ship shape today and not exhibiting any of the aforementioned bugs. I really appreciate your time and attention concerning this matter.

OS? Video driver update (uninstall, install)? HW Acceleration off? Any detailed information? Screenshot?

I am having the same exact issue on Windows 10 Pro, i7-10700K, and a GTX 1080 TI. It's making these products un-usable at points and I have a lot of work on my plate. Please advise Serif.

Please see this topic:

There have been several posts recently from people with similar problems who were using either ASUS Sonic or MSI Nahemic.

This is caused by ASUS Sonic or MSI Nehemic:

I confirm, it's MSI Nahimic. It is necessary to uninstall MSI Nahimic or I deactivate the Nahimic service and everything is OK (The service can remain active even after uninstalling MSI Nahimic.).

I do not have nahimic installed and the issues persist. Unless, nahimic is installed and doesn't show up under the windows 'uninstall applications' window or in any application manager. Is there some special procedure to uninstall it? Another reason to hate OEM bloatware...
