Can Affinity Publisher preflight find word stacks? I have heard that scripts are available for InDesign for finding word stacks. Is anything similar available for Publisher?

Preflight not, but you can do this perhaps with some GREP yourself? This is what I found when I was looking for the meaning of "word stacks":

Quote

For the same words at the beginning of paragraph:

^(\w{2,}\b )\1+

--> with an space after \b

For the same letters at the end:

( \w)\1+(?=[[:punct:]]?$)

--> with an space before \w

Thank you, Joachim. You have a good idea, but unfortunately it would not do what is necessary.

See the example of word stacks that I have attached. They can occur anywhere but are particularly noticeable at the end of lines.

My client just discovered word stacks. If she wants me to correct them, I'll go through her book manually.

Thanks for providing an example, as I personally had not heard of 'word stacks' either and it's nice to learn something new!

I'll get this thread moved to the Feedback section of our forums, so our devs can see and consider adding a possible Preflight check for this in a future update :)

Add me to the list of people who have never heard of this before. I wonder what the odds are for having 3 or more in a stack. I can see 2 words, but it must get more and more rare with each addition to the stack.
