loukash
ADe 1.9.4.2, El Capitan, MacBookPro9,1 Not sure if reported before, but I haven't found anything by searching for these keywords in title. A linked random multipage PDF with the full printer marks set acts strangely when changing the page box mode or changing pages. I don't understand what's going on here. This is a simple 4-page PDF/X-3 test document, exported from APu 1.9.2 a while ago. ade_pdf_placed_passthrough_pagebox.mp4 Here's the PDF:cmykprintx3.pdf MacBookAir 15": MacOS Ventura > Affinity v1, v2, v2 beta // MacBookPro 15" mid-2012: MacOS El Capitan > Affinity v1 / MacOS Catalina > Affinity v1, v2, v2 beta // iPad 8th: iPadOS 16 > Affinity v2

loukash
For the record, just check with ADe 1.9.3 and also noticed similar weirdness like missing printer marks and distortion, although at least pages don't fully disappear. On the other hand, everything works more or less as expected in APu 1.9.3: MacBookAir 15": MacOS Ventura > Affinity v1, v2, v2 beta // MacBookPro 15" mid-2012: MacOS El Capitan > Affinity v1 / MacOS Catalina > Affinity v1, v2, v2 beta // iPad 8th: iPadOS 16 > Affinity v2

Speaking of which… Why aren't there the same page box options in ADe as in APu? That doesn't make sense to me. Staff Gabe Posted May 21, 2021 Staff Share Posted May 21, 2021 Hi @loukash Those options have been added to the beta.

Sorry, I don't understand what you mean: The Page Box options are identical in ADe 1.9.3 and 1.9.4.2, and both versions suffer from a similar distortion bug, the beta version additionally from the disappearing page content. The "expanded" Page Box options are from APu 1.9.3 which has no beta available. I that context I was asking why ADe comes with a limited set of Page Box options. Staff Gabe Posted May 21, 2021 Staff Share Posted May 21, 2021 The pagebox options are not identical between 1.9.3 and 1.9.4 though. 1.9.4 has the "full set" you find in publisher.

Oh, and app language is set to English US, in case this is just another incarnation of the now increasingly funny game called "Find The Next Language Bug Bug"… MacBookAir 15": MacOS Ventura > Affinity v1, v2, v2 beta // MacBookPro 15" mid-2012: MacOS El Capitan > Affinity v1 / MacOS Catalina > Affinity v1, v2, v2 beta // iPad 8th: iPadOS 16 > Affinity v2
Staff Gabe Posted May 21, 2021 Staff Share Posted May 21, 2021 it does seem to be a localisation issue. I'll get this checked. loukash
Old Bruce
Seems to me that it depends on what preset was used to make the PDF. Print Ready ===================== PDF-X4 Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.4 Affinity Designer 2.4.1 | Affinity Photo 2.4.1 | Affinity Publisher 2.4.1 | Beta versions as they appear. I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.
