NotMyFault
Hi, i tried to use the brush with a color and noise, but this never shows any noise, only color without noise. Only if i use a vetor shape, fill layer, etc you can see the noise of the color. Bug or feature? Old Bruce
I would think it is a feature, once I got to thinking about it I realized that there wouldn't be 'noise' in what I have painted because the brush is continually laying down more ink/paint/pigment and this covers the noise.. Staff MEB Posted April 13, 2021 Staff Share Posted April 13, 2021 Hi NotMyFault, This is by design. The noise is an attribute of vector objects only. If you want it on a raster brush in Photo implement it through the brush nozzles, textures etc. Old Bruce and NotMyFault 2 Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
NotMyFault
A follow up question or feature request: if noise is not supported for pixel brush, why is it possible to select such an color with noise when the brush tool is active? The color is always bound to the selected tool (in default config at least). I think it should not be possible. That it is possible probably is an oversight.
