Update to 1.90 was successful but cannot run

Recommended Posts

After I updated Affinity Suites on my PC from 1.85 to 1.90, I can no longer start the programs. It only shows the splash image for a couple of seconds. Then nothing happened after that. My update process was successful.  I have manually update my display/Graphics driver and checked other potentially issues posted in the forum here, but none of them worked.

I am attaching these files:  log.txt (after issuing %AppData%\Affinity\Publisher\1 ),

                                               Setup.log and SetupUI.log (after issuing %TEMP%\AffinitySetup

a dmp file (after issuing %AppData%\Affinity\Publisher\1.0\CrashReports)

When I uninstalled the new version 1.90 and reinstalled the old version 1.85, they still work.  But when I update them, same thing as above happened again. Basically I cannot run the new version. Any inside help is highly appreciatded.

I am not sure .NET is to blame. Fixing .NET is just the first point on any support check list I have learned.

I would ignore the .NET related tips in the following thread - otherwise any help there? The tips from @Dan C about running with parameters? Any luck?

  • Not an Affinity user og forum user anymore. The software continued to disappoint and not deliver.

Hi all, we have a potential fix for a crash on run up in the latest beta here.

You may need to run it up twice for this to prevent the crash, if after subsequent run ups you are still getting crashes when loading the application let us know.

Thanks
