  1. What about those file under C:\Program Files\Affinity\Publisher\Resources\Affinity Publisher ? Is that correct that ALL my personal added assets and brushes etc are under ..\user\ ? In other words, when I back up the whole thing under %AppData%\Affinity\Publisher\1.0\user I would have all the data/info I have. Do I need to similar backups for Designer and Photo? I wish Affinity have one place to save all user's data (like assets, plug-ins, brushes, etc) or have a tool for user to backup data.
  2. I went to Intel Download Center and install the first one (was told the latest one) as below and it now it's working with AF 1.9. When I installed it, the system said the one on my computer was newer than the I was trying to install. But went ahead and replaced/installed anyway. Fortunately it's now working:
  3. Thanks. Due to the crash issue with the new version (1.9), I was told at one point try to start with holding CTRL. I guess that cleared all my assets. They should have given me a warning for doing that. Fortunately I had a copy sometime ago that can make up some of the loss.
  4. How did you end up with Driver 2018? Did you keep uninstalling the driver until you saw it is 2018 by itself? Or you manually installed the 2018 version? Not sure if your solution applies to my computer.
  5. Did you un-installed the Intel latest driver and let the system install available driver or un-installed it first and manually installed OEM versions instead?
  6. My search of OpenCL in driver C is as below: Can you @Mark Ingram tell which one might be faulty?
  7. I ran the cltest directly within the Win + R window. I ran it again under the shell. Here are the output: Checking for OpenCL binaries: Found Querying OpenCL platform count: OpenCL tests failed to complete! This indicates a problem with one or more OpenCL drivers on your system. There are a lot of OpneCL.dll files at various places. Which ones does the test code check? Any idea as which OpenCL driver is faulty?
  8. You may need to pipe results if any to a file like: cltest.exe > cltest_result.txt. In my piped result, it says: OpenCL tests failed to complete! This indicates a problem with one or more OpenCL drivers on your system.
  9. When I ran it nothing happened except a cmd window appeared and then disappeared. When I piped result to a file. Here is what's inside: OpenCL tests failed to complete! This indicates a problem with one or more OpenCL drivers on your system.
  10. This window only appeared for about 2 to 3 seconds. Where if any the results would be?
  11. I just ran it, it seems nothing has happened except a term/win popped up for a couple of seconds and disappeared.
  12. I had a lot of assets saved within AF Publisher (1.8.5). Since the new version (1.9) won't run, so I uninstalled the 1.9 and reinstalled 1.8.5. Later I tried many options trying to make the new version (both official released and beta versions) work. But now I just found out that all the assets in my reinstalled Publisher (1.8.5) are gone. Are they still somewhere that I can recovery from?
  13. Thanks Simono. For the latest beta version I did not do anything (including modification of the UseHardwareAcceleration entry). It crashed the first time, but started successfully in the second time. Did you mean that your released version (1.9) is working now? It did not work for me when I added <UseHardwareAcceleration>True</UseHardwareAcceleration>.
  14. Thanks @simono. Yes. Now I have six copies of Affinity suites installed (AFPub, AFPh, AFD 1.85 and Beta 1.9.1.952).
  15. I ran the latest Publisher Beta and it works. The cl.dat file does exist under %APPDATA%\Affinity\Publisher\1.0 (Beta)\. It looks like below: [DXCore] Beginning compatibility check [DXCore] Initialised [DXCore] Retrieving adapter list [DXCore] Adapter list successfully retrieved [OpenCL] Retrieving platform IDs
  16. I meant I just tried the latest beta version of Publisher and it works now (at the second run). I don't have the links for photo and designer yet.
  17. The latest AFP now works (after the second run). Thanks AF team.
  18. I tried the new beta version (did everything instructed within this thread) and it still does not work. It only showed the splash window for a couple of seconds. So far all my three Affinity packages (the new 1.90 version) are not w Did you try the latest beta version (1.9.1.952). This time it runs in the second try (it crashed in the first run)
  19. I tried the new beta version (did everything instructed within this thread) and it still does not work. It only showed the splash window for a couple of seconds. So far all my three Affinity packages (the new 1.90 version) are not working.
