AP Beta 1.9.852 Win, display issues, focus stack

Recommended Posts

Hi,

there are some remaining issues when focus stacking. Behavior has improved with every beta, but still needs some polishing.

At least display is errornuous in several aspects:

1 white rectangle shows up

2 one source images shows artefacts from focus stacking process (_MG_8488.CR2)

3 trailing underscores "_" in source picture names do not show up (this is default naming scheme for canon RAW files using ARGB profile)

4. Cursor is dirstorted (will upload 2nd picture, impossible to screen capture, must use external camera to take photo)

Picture shows distorted cursor. Should be a white circle.

When i start with pre-processed TIF instead of CR2 files, sligthly different issues occur:

  1. 1st source image is shown completely black
  2. no white box in focus merged picture
  3. histogram shows artefacts
  4. Using mouse cursor shows artefacts

Thanks. I still can't get my machine with an AMD card to complete this but that's another issue.

I managed it on my Nvidia PC and I see corruption in the HIstogram but nothing on canvas yet. I will keep poking but I will log this.

I'd recommend batch processing any images into JPEG's as there's no real benefit of using CR2's for a merge. Or turn OpenCL off which seems to be the cause for me.

The histogram palette has noise when I was working with the patch tool. In addition, it leaves a roughness in the image similar to that shown by NotMyFault.

Disabling OpenCL for Nvidia RTX helps, and everything is fine.
