NotMyFault
Hi, there are some remaining issues when focus stacking. Behavior has improved with every beta, but still needs some polishing. At least display is errornuous in several aspects: 1 white rectangle shows up 2 one source images shows artefacts from focus stacking process (_MG_8488.CR2) 3 trailing underscores "_" in source picture names do not show up (this is default naming scheme for canon RAW files using ARGB profile) 4. Cursor is dirstorted (will upload 2nd picture, impossible to screen capture, must use external camera to take photo) Mac mini M1 A2348 | Windows 10 - AMD Ryzen 9 5900x - 32 GB RAM - Nvidia GTX 1080 LG34WK950U-W, calibrated to DCI-P3 with LG Calibration Studio / Spider 5 iPad Air Gen 5 (2022) A2589 Special interest into procedural texture filter, edit alpha channel, RGB/16 and RGB/32 color formats, stacking, finding root causes for misbehaving files, finding creative solutions for unsolvable tasks, finding bugs in Apps. NotMyFault
Picture shows distorted cursor. Should be a white circle. NotMyFault
When i start with pre-processed TIF instead of CR2 files, sligthly different issues occur: 1st source image is shown completely black no white box in focus merged picture histogram shows artefacts Using mouse cursor shows artefacts Mac mini M1 A2348 | Windows 10 - AMD Ryzen 9 5900x - 32 GB RAM - Nvidia GTX 1080 LG34WK950U-W, calibrated to DCI-P3 with LG Calibration Studio / Spider 5 iPad Air Gen 5 (2022) A2589 Special interest into procedural texture filter, edit alpha channel, RGB/16 and RGB/32 color formats, stacking, finding root causes for misbehaving files, finding creative solutions for unsolvable tasks, finding bugs in Apps. Staff Chris B Posted November 24, 2020 Staff Share Posted November 24, 2020 Do you have OpenCL enabled? I can't even complete a Focus Merge with it on. If I turn it off, it completes but I'm not seeing any rendering issues. Staff Chris B Posted November 25, 2020 Staff Share Posted November 25, 2020 Thanks. Can you chuck your samples in here for me please:https://www.dropbox.com/request/B48shMFK87LkjTSyH310 Like I said, I can't complete with OpenCL enabled on my old AMD card. I'd like to try with me 3080 on my main machine. How to format a bug report | Learning Resources | List of V2 FAQs | YouTube Tutorials

Staff Chris B Posted December 1, 2020 Staff Share Posted December 1, 2020 Thanks. I still can't get my machine with an AMD card to complete this but that's another issue. I managed it on my Nvidia PC and I see corruption in the HIstogram but nothing on canvas yet. I will keep poking but I will log this. I'd recommend batch processing any images into JPEG's as there's no real benefit of using CR2's for a merge. Or turn OpenCL off which seems to be the cause for me. Poziomka
I had the same problem. The histogram palette has noise when I was working with the patch tool. In addition, it leaves a roughness in the image similar to that shown by NotMyFault. Disabling OpenCL for Nvidia RTX helps, and everything is fine.
