phoenixart
Hi there, First off, congratulations for keeping improving such a great product! I'm testing the latest beta 1.9.0.734. After adding a layer and painting some random scribbles I added a mask to the layer and Affinity Photo closed abruptly. I repeated the process to look for a possible cause for this issue and, again, after painting a couple of minutes and adding a mask, Photo quits. It seems something related to the new mask layer is triggering the problem but I can't figure out what. Is there a log somewhere I can look at and, possibly, post here for further inspection? Staff Chris B Posted September 22, 2020 Staff Share Posted September 22, 2020 Hey phoenixart, the faulting dll is nvcompiler64.dll. It might be worth uninstalling your graphics drivers and doing a clean install of them. And by clean I mean the DDU/safe boot route. I'll try again as soon as I'm done with the current job. Excited to see how this product is getting better and better. Thanks! Staff Chris B Posted September 24, 2020 Staff Share Posted September 24, 2020 That might not change anything then. We have seent his a lot but we can never reproduce it internally which makes it a royal pain to sort. I've seen dev suggest some potential causes etc. but we will hopefully find a solution. The only workaround is to use WARP from Preferences but it will slow everything down and it isn't recommended to use it all the time... just on the occasion you might need to stitch a panorama or something. I've added your crash log to the bug report as well Thank you. phoenixart 1 How to format a bug report | Learning Resources | List of V2 FAQs | YouTube Tutorials
