ceg
When rotating an image in the develop persona for the first time the color changes. Developing the image returns it to normal. When returning to the Develop persona the rotation works fine. I am using AP 1.8.4 under Windows 10, latest build. display_issue_when_rotating_an_image.mp4
Staff Chris B Posted August 18, 2020 Staff Share Posted August 18, 2020 Hey ceg, This was fixed, however you will need to perform a reset on the app. You can do this safely by following these steps. Please pick the correct one depening on where your purchased the app from: Affinity Store - Go to %AppData%\Affinity\Photo\1.0 and rename 1.0 to 1.1 or Microsoft Store - Go to %AppData%\Affinity\Photo\1.0 (Store) and rename 1.0 to 1.1 You can acccess the AppData folder by pressing the Windows key + R on your keyboard and then just type %AppData% Once you have done this, the issue should be gone! Chris, can the 1.1 folder then be deleted? Quote Intel i7-10700 Gen10 CPU, 32GB RAM, Geforce GTX 1660 OC 6GB Windows 10 Pro 22H2, 1x 1TB M.2 NVMe, 1 x 2TB M.2 NVMe. Staff Chris B Posted August 21, 2020 Staff Share Posted August 21, 2020 Yes, as long as there's nothing in it that you need. We only back it up in case you need to restore it. Once the reset has been carried out and you're happy everything is there and is normal, you can drag it to the bin! Assuming you don't need to copy any brushes or other content out of the folder, it can be deleted.
ceg
Glad you two agree. 🙂 I had copied it to the desktop with a note to delete it in a month. I noticed that the old folder was almost half a gig in size: it dragged some "autosave" files around forever. Are these necessary (I guess not), and is there a way to delete them in a more elegant way than manually going into the folder?
