incher91
Hello, I have a problem with perfect snapping with an isometric grid. As you can see in the first picture, it doesnt snap perfectly. My settings are in pictures 2 and 3. It also doesnt work with the option "force pixel alignment" toggled off 😞  Can anybody help me please?  Greetings Fabian
Alfred
Leave ‘Force pixel alignment’ enabled, but disable ‘Move by whole pixels’. The latter takes precedence when enabled. Alfred
I’m sorry to hear that, Fabian. Perhaps you could share a misbehaving document so I can test it on my iPad (and other iPad users can test it, too). incher91
Hi DM1, if you look really close, than you can see that isnt snapped perfectly. Also you disabled the "Snap to grid" option.
Alfred
I can confirm that it isn’t snapping for me when I have only ‘Snap to grid’ enabled. ‘Force pixel alignment’ seems to mess things up even more (presumably because it’s keeping the edges of the shape away from grid lines that aren’t aligned to pixel boundaries). Either snapping is not working or the grid display is still off when zoomed. The fix list for 1.84 states: Fix for incorrect rendering of grids past certain zoom levels?? Staff Sean P Posted August 7, 2020 Staff Share Posted August 7, 2020 Hi incher91, Unfortunately this is still a known issue on iPad when attempting to snap to non-square grids. I'll get the issue bumped with development and pass your comments over.

I’ve been trying to follow some tutorials but now that I realize that the points do not exactly align with the grid I am hesitant to work on more isometric work. Will I have to manually align each point when I make isometric elements?

I think mods have previously said the alignment doesn’t move, just that the grid is not drawn properly when zoomed, making it look like it is no longer aligned. Hopefully they can confirm this. Snapping grid is however , unaffected.🙂  Quote M1 IPad Air 10.9/256GB  lpadOS 17.1.1 Apple Pencil (2nd gen). Ision Industries
@DM1 so it seems like the only work around to get precise alignment is to work on isometric design at 100% (normal) zoom?
DM1
Seems to be the case though at 200% it still looks aligned  to my (tired) eyes.  Serif fixed the standard grid in this release so hopefully a fix for isometric won’t be too far off. 🙂 Quote M1 IPad Air 10.9/256GB  lpadOS 17.1.1 Apple Pencil (2nd gen).
