Stapleton Road
I use Affinity on my Mac desktop, both computer and programs are less than 2 years old. I primarily use my computer for photo editing. Whilst my computer regularly gets updates I don't receive any from Affinity. My photo loading process has become unbearably slow taking 10mins to load a picture, also to create a panorama takes forever sometimes 12 hours. Also halfway through editing a picture my computer will shut down. Apple say the problem is with the Affinity program and not the computer. Can you help please. thomaso
Concerning Updates: You have three options to get informed about available updates, each of them requires your interaction at least once: Quote macOS 10.14.6 | MacBookPro Retina 15" | Eizo 27" | Affinity V1
Stapleton Road
Thank you, I don't appear to have that option.

I think you only have that option if you purchased from the Affinity Store. If you purchased from the Mac App Store then your updates are controlled via the Store. That option is available if you have purchased the Application from the Serif Website. You have probably purchased it from the Mac App Store. For updates you will need to set the App Store preferences to auto update or you can check manually by going to the store and checking there. The store changes with every OS update this is what the preferences look like in OS 10.13.6, just check the boxes and it will happen automatically, I prefer to check manually. It will inform you by email if you set it accordingly – entirely independent of the App Store or any purchase.
