iPad Os 14 Beta scribble (1.8.4.185)

Recommended Posts

Hi Affinity Team,

After testing the awesome mouse and font support, I noticed that the App collides with the new scribble feature, means if it’s turned on, you cant paint with the AP brushes any longer, like it’s always activated not just in text form fields.

Turning scribble off in the pencil settings helps, after that everything works like expected.

Just to let you know, even it’s really early into the iPad Os 14 Beta, maybe Apple has to fix it.

cheers,

lutz

Urgh hadn’t noticed that as I turned the scribble feature off very soon after updating to the IOS14 beta, it’s a horrible ill thought out option.

I can’t reproduce this on latest 1.84.x beta version of Affinity Photo for iPad...?

I’m on iPad Pro 12.9” 2020 edition running iPadOS 14 beta 2 with Scribble enabled...

Where in the Photo app do you see this happening?

Happy guy playing around with the Affinity Suite - really love typographic, photographing, Color & forms, AND, old Synthesizers from the 1980-1990’s…

Macbook Pro 16” M1 2021 connected to an 32” curved 5K external display, iPad Pro 12.9” M1 2021, iPad Pro 10.5” A10X 2017, iMac 27” 5K/i7 late 2015 - also an Lenovo iMac i7 clone with 24” touch screen and Windows 10…

I must have been a little dizzy when I tested this Scribble ”bug” into Affinity Photo 1.84.x beta - I must have been started v1.83 when tested this with the Apple Pencil...

Now, when I tested this, it’s impossible to draw something with the Pencil (both Pen Tool & Brush tool)...

So, this is something Affinity (and all other painting apps) must have an solution on before iPadOS 14.0 will be releaded in september...
