For example I have a complex logo and want to add all the shapes together to make a silhouette but the program simply does nothing? I don’t think the Boolean operations are limited by the number of shapes. If nothing happens when you use them it’s normally because of a different issue, sometimes the Fill Mode is ‘wrong’ for some of the shapes, sometimes it’s because the shapes are not (all) closed curves, or various other things.
