My Strawberry Monkey

I'm going home, to where I belong

Recommended Posts

What I love about compositing is the ability to make it look as natural as possible, of course there are times where its obvious and that's the look your going for. Love how easy Affinity photo made this for me.

This is made up of 4 pictures, love the black and white look I was able to achieve.

Nice composition with a great mood :) Looks like a long walk for a little one! ;)

Thanks Matt,

It is a long walk back indeed. For me there is so much more to this image. Its about the escape from society & life back to childhood a life free from stress and bills, happy with the simple things in life. Feel free to replace the kid with yourself.

I think the saying goes "A picture paints a thousand words"

How different would the mood be, if the image had a sepia tone or even a negative image?

It would be for sure, not something I'd thought about.  :)

Very nice!

I can't put my finger on it... but the image feels... 3D... like it's popping out from the screen at me?

Perhaps its because the line down the middle of the road is sharp, but the sides of the road are blurred? Interesting effect!

Got it! This needs a spoken narrative, say...Jon Pertwee (Dr Who/ Wurzel Gummidge), talking about his early life and his friends. This would be very, very typical of BBC Radio 4's Desert Island Discs.

These are the thousand or so words, that the speaker is saying to me. Whilst thumbing the edges of a tatty edged photo...What say you?

I would call it..."Encounters with a dream"....the idea is oniric and absolutely precious. Great achievement.

Rosa

Thanks Rosa. I think it was about escaping, being alone and back to a time when you had less worries.
