erratic writing in layers legends

This is a very annoying bug. When I type the legend in layers the writing often does not appear or only a letter does. Very annoying.

Do you mean if you say, double click to rename a layer, when you type you only get a single character and the rename field loses focus?

yes something like that. I get one character and then, if I want to add  to the character on the screen  the character disappears while the other are typed.

Ah, I thought this was fixed in an early 1.8 build. I'll go and take another look. Sorry

bug still present in 1.8.4 and may be even worse than in previous  version, at least as a first impression.

The Mac App Store (MAS) only sells the desktop versions of the Affinity apps, but this thread is in the ‘Photo Bugs on iPads’ forum. Perhaps it has been posted to the wrong place.

That might be correct, because I never look into the iPad section, only 'Photo bugs found on MacOS'. If I was mistaken, I apologize very much.

Well, @srg does seem to be a Mac user, and @Chris B’s question about what happens if you “double click” a layer (which you can’t do on iPad) was accepted without comment. So I don’t think you have anything to apologize for!

sorry about the confusion. Indeed I use only Mac and reposted this without looking at its location in the forum.
