Wrong pointer displayed after releasing spacebar that was used to activate View Tool

I see this was reported three and four years ago and has never been fixed. It appears to be a problem in all Affinity apps on all platforms.

Choose the Selection Brush Tool and select part of the pixel image.

Press spacebar to activate View Tool (Hand pointer) to move document in the window.

Release spacebar, expecting to see the Selection Brush pointer since that was the active Tool before pressing the spacebar.

Instead, the Hand pointer remains visible, which should indicate that the View Tool remains active.

In fact, the Selection Brush Tool did indeed again became active on releasing the spacebar, but APhoto is displaying the pointer for the View Tool. This becomes immediately obvious if you make the mistake of clicking on the image with the Hand pointer. On clicking the image, he pointer immediately returns to the brush outline and selects part of the image.

How can this bug still exist after four years? It is incredibly annoying to have the wrong pointer displayed for an editing tool.

Is there any point in users reporting simple, basic bugs given that no one pays any attention to us?

This was originally reported for macOS but was fixed relatively quickly. 

I found a bug report for Windows which I have bumped a few times over the past year and I have done so again.

I think it's a redraw issue because changing the zoom when the hand cursor is stuck, will change it back to the currently selected tools cursor.

Simply pressing the Alt key as you would do to choose Subtract from selection returns the brush to visibility. But, of course, releasing the spacebar should restore the tool's correct pointer.

We have made fixes/improvements to this area (Hand cursor gets stuck after panning) of the program in the latest release.

Updated from version 1.83 to version 1.84 flawlessly for both APhoto and APublisher

The Hand pointer behavior now works as it should after you release the spacebar. Thanks.
