RainerH Posted March 14, 2020 Posted March 14, 2020 Hello, I have several pdf-logos and some png-pictures an one Affinity-Designer-file placed (but not embetted) in a Publisher document. When I go to recources manager i can only collect the png- and Designer files but not the pdfs. Is there any way to collect them too? And further placed files. I'm not an IT-specialist but what's the difference between copying a png, jpg file into a new folder an copying a pdf, xlsx, txt or svg file into a new folder? Thank you for your help. Rainer Quote
Dan C Posted March 14, 2020 Posted March 14, 2020 Hi Rainer Thanks for your report, this was logged by our QA team in the below thread - I can confirm that since the report this behaviour has been changed and it should be possible in the forthcoming patch/update to collect Placed PDF documents. I hope this helps! Quote
RainerH Posted December 30, 2020 Author Posted December 30, 2020 Nine months and still nothing has happened. It can't be that difficult to just allow another file extension ??? Or better yet, simply not restricting what types of files can be collected. Why can't a placed Word file also be collected? Or an Excel.csv that you have placed as a table? Why do you need two different storage locations for the recouscings that you used in the publisher file: images (jpg, png ...) and others? You didn't think about that, did you? But then please finally deliver it. You know, people who work with DTP programs use PDF or SVG every now and then. Quote

RainerH Posted January 20, 2021 Author Posted January 20, 2021 It's NOT in the 1.9 beta It's very sad, it can't be that difficult to move files with other extensions than jpg and png to a folder. So often you get some designs (e.g. company logos) as PDF and cannot collect them, but have to move them into the collection folder by hand and then relink them. I am very disappointed now. Quote
