I am trying to create a pdf file with fonts embedded. No matter which pdf preset I choose or which setting within a preset, the fonts are converted into curves. Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong here?

Normally export works without a problem using the presets. Can you please upload an example file here?

I think this a known problem of the Mac App Store versions of 1.8.1.

I am facing the same issue with the new v1.8. It is exporting each character as a curve in PDF. I had to Print and then save as PDF as a workaround. I never had to do that before.

Ok, so it is a bug then. Should I report it somewhere?

Here's the workaround I used to end up with a pdf that does have embedded fonts:

- Open the affinity designer file in affinity photo

- Export the artboard as pdf from affinity photo

I think the reason that this works is that my affinity designer installation is a purchase from the apple app store and my affinity photo app is a purchase from the https://affinity.serif.com/ website.
