Heolstor Posted February 26, 2020 Posted February 26, 2020 After installing the 1.8 patch, I cannot save the file I was working on. I even sent the file to a colleague and the same happens. It was working fine before the patch, now I can't continue my work. Any solutions? Quote
Jhuggler Posted February 26, 2020 Posted February 26, 2020 I am having this same problem. It will allow me to open documents, but I can not save any new work. I have restarted a few times, powered off and waited, then turned back on, tried to open the file instead of going to 'open recent,' nothing seems to be helping. I have deadlines. Is there a way to uninstall the update to continue working until the bug is fixed? Heolstor 1 Quote
CarlM Posted February 27, 2020 Posted February 27, 2020 I'm not able to reproduce it though. It wasn't a problem in the Beta or in the Beta release candidate. Have you tried uninstalling and doing a clean install? Quote
VanHeber Posted February 27, 2020 Posted February 27, 2020 I have this problem with a file too! It's related with missing resource files, I hope! Bad! Quote
Serif Since v1 Posted February 27, 2020 Posted February 27, 2020 Similar situation here. Not every time, but after making edits to an existing file, selecting File-Save results in the program simply vanishing! But starting up again, it actually saved the edits. Heolstor 1 Quote
Staff Pauls Posted February 27, 2020 Staff Posted February 27, 2020 Hi, We'd need to see the afpub files to investigate - could you please upload sample here. If you could prefix the filename with your forum user name that would help us Quote

Heolstor Posted February 29, 2020 Author Posted February 29, 2020 I would really appreciate an answer regarding this. Quote
Staff Gabe Posted March 10, 2020 Staff Posted March 10, 2020 Hi @Heolstor, Sorry for the delayed reply. The cause of the crash seems to be the text frame on page 199. (Nárún - The Whisper of the Corpse). If you copy the text, delete the text frame and re-add a new text frame, it should all be fine. Quote
