Hi all!

Still fairly new to the software and designs, so please excuse the newbie question:

Is it possible to somehow make layers loop back around?

I'm trying to work with this image (originally an svg) in Designer, but with the layers it currently looks like this:

Is there a way to make the top most layer loop around and basically be placed underneath the bottom most layer in order to close the spiral?

If not, are there workarounds anyone can offer me to make my flower look a little less dilapidated :D

Thanks!

Hi Aechidna,

1/ Select the two lower shapes (the lowest in the layers) marked 1 and 2 in white.
2/ Copy these two shapes and paste them at the top of the layers.
3/ Select the two shapes you just pasted and make a compound (Boolean operation "Substract" by holding down the "Alt" key on the keyboard).
4/ As the shapes are thick, convert into curves the ones that overlap the others: in my example the orange shape and modify them with the "Node" tool.

Hi Aechidna :)

I've downloaded a copy of the SVG file and followed the above workflow, you can find my .afdesign file attached with History saved allowing you to 'scrub back' through the steps taken.

I hope this helps!

Please note -

I am currently out of the office for a short while whilst recovering from surgery (nothing serious!), therefore will not be available on the Forums during this time.

Should you require a response from the team in a thread I have previously replied in - please Create a New Thread and our team will be sure to reply as soon as possible.

Many thanks!
