foto-grafic Posted January 30, 2020 Posted January 30, 2020 Hello, is there in AP a quick and easy way to eliminate a color cast in a photo? Thanks for collaboration Quote
Staff DWright Posted January 30, 2020 Staff Posted January 30, 2020 Hi @foto-grafic, It depends on the colour cast on the photo if it has blue tint then a Auto White Balance , Auto Contrast and Auto Colour will normally remove the tint from the photo. Quote
PaulEC Posted January 30, 2020 Posted January 30, 2020 Depending how strong the colour cast is: Sample an area (with the colour picker) that should be white. Create a new pixel layer above the picture. Fill this with the picked colour. Invert this colour (Ctrl + i). Set the blend mode to "Colour". Adjust the opacity until it looks right. (If necessary use white balance for fine adjustment.) Sometimes it can also help to increase the colour saturation. foto-grafic Posted January 30, 2020 Author Posted January 30, 2020 @DWright I put your advice into practice and, with blue it works quite well, but with other dominants less. @PaulEC I have tried the procedure clearly described. I have seen that the final result depends very much on the 'white' reference point taken; sometimes white is far from white and the result varies accordingly. I thank you both for the time you have dedicated to me and I ask you if you recommend a tutorial or anything that makes me understand how to adjust the white point with AP. Thanks so much...... Quote
mikerofoto Posted January 31, 2020 Posted January 31, 2020 -duplicate your layer -filter / blur / average -invert the layer -blend mode to overlay can’t remember where I got that but it work. h_d 1 Quote
foto-grafic Posted January 31, 2020 Author Posted January 31, 2020 @mikerofoto I also tried your method and I must say that you are right: it works. Thank you... Quote
