Garfield Posted December 30, 2019 Posted December 30, 2019 Hello, I hope everone had some wonderful Christmas holidays. When trying to create an invitation card with Publisher v1.7.3.481 on Windows 7 I ran into a problem with my pdf export which I was not able to resolve. Here's my workflow: Create a new Publisher document with page size 131,5 mm x 131,5 mm and bleed of 3 mm on each side. Place a few svg graphics, text frames and a heart shape with 3D effects on document. See attached Card.afpub Export document as PDF including cut markers. The resulting PDF file looks like this (Card.pdf): Create another Publisher document with A4 page size and no bleeding. Place the exported PDF file in this document in such a way that the cut markers are shown. See attached Card_A4.afpub Export document as PDF. The resulting PDF looks like this (Card_A4.pdf): As you can see, in the resulting PDF file, the "heart ballon" object is shifted towards the top right and is no longer at its original position. I have attached all the documents which I mentioned if you'd like to look at the files. The same problem happens also with the current Publisher beta version. Kind regards Garfield
Staff Pauls Posted January 6, 2020 Staff Posted January 6, 2020 I've not been able to recreate this in our latest beta version.

Garfield Posted January 8, 2020 Author Posted January 8, 2020 I was also using the 1.8.0.523 beta version to reproduce this behavior. However, I found out that the .523 beta version allows for embedding the .afpub document directly including the bleed area (this is not possible in the 1.7.3.481 version). So I skipped step 3 and imported the afpub file directly, placed the cut markers manually and exported the final document to PDF again: The balloon is still shifted. After fiddling around with my original Card.afpub file, I noticed that the layers that belong to the balloon (heart and string) have their opacity value set below 100%. After changing the opacity back to 100% for both layers, the final PDF export looked OK, the balloon is no longer shifted. So the problem may have something to do with the layer opacity.
