VectorWhiz Posted December 9, 2019 Posted December 9, 2019 One of the most beautiful car designs of modern times. 100% vector drawing. Work in progress. Used lots of custom gradients and transparencies. Also Gaussian blurring and 3D effects. VectorWhiz Posted December 10, 2019 Author Posted December 10, 2019 Base of the left side of the car is almost done (detailing will be done later). The wire-frame (outline view) looks quite simple, most of the effort goes into defining the custom gradients and transparencies. Colours could be copied from the reference photo, but I do not like them most of the time; this drawing must have a realistic appearance, but must not be an exact copy of the reference image. If possible I aim to improve the image. For areas with more gradients with different colours in different directions, I duplicate the object, amend the colours in the custom gradient in the appropriate direction and make parts of the object that are not needed transparent or change (shrink or expand) the object's shape. All objects are Gaussian blurred to make the image more realistic. When the final detailing will be done, much more detail will become visible in the wire-frame view. VectorWhiz Posted December 11, 2019 Author Posted December 11, 2019 The base of this left side view is now done. Below is the transparent background version. Reflection details still need to be applied. Further progress will be posted in my portfolio blog: https://communicats.blogspot.com/2019/12/range-rover-evoque-vector-drawing.html Stage 20 - Dec 11 2019 - 22:11 CET with transparent background ESEA, GarryP and SrPx 3 Quote Home: https://vectorwhiz.com : : : : Portfolio blog: https://communicats.blogspot.com : : : : https://writhedwrites.blogspot.com/
