photoShooter Posted November 16, 2019 Posted November 16, 2019 It has been years since Affinity announced that a digital asset manager (DAM) was in the works. Then, conflicting information led people to believe that the DAM project was cancelled. Final word from Affinity clarified that a DAM was in production. That was a few years ago. Therefore, I think it appropriate to ask Affinity on the status of the DAM project. Affinity: what is the status of your DAM? Quote

Steps Posted January 1, 2020 Posted January 1, 2020 @Patrick Connor I suggest to add the DAM question to the FAQ subforum. It's really really frequently asked. Quote Windows 10 Pro x64 (1903). Steps Posted January 5, 2020 Posted January 5, 2020 The question could be "Are you working on DAM?" and this is asked frequently and has also a clear answer. Quote Windows 10 Pro x64 (1903). Jim Clark Posted February 13, 2020 Posted February 13, 2020 I use Affinity, Aperture, and Photos. I will not longer be using Aperture when I replace my computer, in less than a year. After using Aperture since it came out I prefer it to the other two. Compared to using Affinity with Photos' DAM, using Aperture is so much better that it is fun as well as being more efficient. I not a professional and enjoy working with and sharing photos. A first cut of 500 images can be a pain using the Affinity/Photos combo or a pleasure with Aperture. IMO a well integrated and flexible DAM would make Affinity at least as good as Aperture (RIP). JW Clark Ian_L 1 Quote
