CapoSimply
The native file name extension AFPHOTO for Affinity Photo files on MacOS is unneccessarily long and could be shortened to 3-4 characters. fde101
How are the longer extensions impacting you? I actually kind of like them that way. They are descriptive and less likely to conflict with other software. RNKLN and emmrecs01
DrGrafix
I'm also new to this software, and its a bit confusing (maybe unnerving LOL) to see such a long file extension when we've been conditioned for decades to 3-character file extensions like PSD, CDR, PDF, JPG, TIF, DXF, and dozens more. Many of us are trying to migrate from the Adobe and Corel mindset, and I think it would be more understandable if the native file extension were something like AFP for Affinity Photo, AFD for Designer, AFP for Publisher. Myself I believe that if less is more imagine how much more more would be. Quote Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.6 Affinity Designer 2.5.5 | Affinity Photo 2.5.5 | Affinity Publisher 2.5.5 | Beta versions as they appear. I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.

fde101
From a quick Google search: .APH = Ability Office .ADS = Ada (programming language) specification source code file APB, AFD = Planit Alphacam AFX = Auto FX PhotoGraphic Edges You can only squeeze so many extensions into three letters before you start running out...
