Hey all, I'm unable to run any affinity installer to either update my programs or install them from scratch. Every time I try it starts a new process and then immediately terminates it, I have tried running it in compatibility mode, as Administrator and even redownloaded the same files. It's only happening with affinity products, I have been able to install other apps just fine on my machine.

I'm hoping someone may be able to help. I have Designer for Windows and iPad. I have been working on a file with a fairly large number of layers, not more than two hundred, in the Windows version 1.6.5.123. I saved the file to OneDrive. I opened the file on Designer for iPad version 1.6.2.42. it took a very long time to open and showed what looked like part of the file, but not the entire file. So I closed the file. I went back to the computer and opened the file there. It is now missing many layers. The file size on the disk appears to be the same, but I cannot see any of the missing content. I went into OneDrive and reviewed previous versions, but none of them were recent enough to have any of the content. Is there any hope I can get those layers back? Is this a regular issue when moving from desktop to iPad if the file is large or complex? I did search the forums but did not find any discussions of this. I apologize if this has already been covered.

Hello, I am wondering if there is any way to pan the canvas with my finger. I have a Microsoft Surface Pro 4, which has a touch screen. I also use Phase One Capture One and Clip Studio Paint. Within both of these applications you can pan the canvas with your finger without needing to change tools. This is a quick and natural gesture, it does not matter what tool is selected and does not require any modification key presses, nor does it require I remove my pen away from its hover state. For clarification, the finger is for panning and the pen or mouse is used for brushing. Does Affinity Photo for Windows 10 offer this feature as I've explained? Is this a feature being looked into for inclusion? Thanks.

Any recommendations about high performance desktop, for best fluent and quality work with Affinity ? cpu, motherboard, graphic card, monitor, discs...etc., each separately, or a good, already integrated desktop. Thanks

Great job on this program Affinity! I have one question...why doesn't DESIGNER and PHOTO load as fast as PUBLISHER? Keep up the great work on this program. Will be purchasing for sure. Thanks Gary

i'm on windows 10, dell inspiron 13, 8 gb memory, 256 gb ssd, build 17134.228. I downloaded the exe successfully, responding to your email link, but it will not install, saying I should find another version. My resolution's 1920 x 1080. I'm current on WIndows updates as of July. I read your forum bug notes and changed the exe to msi. No luck. I heard there might be a font issue but I get no error messages mentioning fonts. Any ideas? BTW, I already have the latest Designer on this PC. Just bought it a month ago maybe. I've used it on the Mac for years. Thank you. Fritz DeKatt

Does Affinity have "Line Stabilisation" like on "Leonardo " where you can toggle on and off? On really smooth surfaces I get a lot of jitters ( i have shaky hands and can't help it ) as an artist I don't want to have to zoom 200% to get a clean line. Would it be possible to add this feature; if it isn't already in "Affinity"? If it is, could you please point me to where i can find it?

Windows uses special "XP Comment, XP Author, XP Keywords, XP Subject" fields (XP <name>) for presenting the associated information with the Windows File > Properties > Details presentation. After creating an Affinity Photo Exported JPEG file, the previous content of these fields disappear from presentation by Windows. Is there a way to preserve the use of these Windows "XP <name>" properties fields when a JPEG file is edited by Affinity Photo desktop and the image is Exported as a JPEG file (*.jpg)?

Hi! I'm here for the first time! I admire the work on the program and keep my fingers crossed for further development I would like to ask if there is an option in the program or any plugin that would allow me to make a "jitter" effect? Something like shaking in animation. Currently, I draw two pictures and then place them in a video editing program next to each other to get that effect. However, the process of drawing twice the same image is time-consuming. If there was a possibility of moving lines/making jittery/wiggly in in the finished picture, it would speed up my work at least twice #1 Edit: Oh,I am using Windows 10 It's more or less the effect I'd like to get:

Hello, When opening an image for editing the whole image is rescaled to the top left and placed on a transparent background. Changing the zoom in the navigator has no effect the image is just rescaled again. I have uninstalled Photo with the same result. I then launched Photo with the Ctrl key pressed and reset all the settings still no change. Any suggestions for fixing this are welcome. A number of apps allow me to set the font size of the text in the UI (for example menu and other section headings) Is this possible with Affinity? If not how do I request the feature?

I have an unconventional setup on my windows machine that seems to trigger unhandled exceptions: One monitor runs on a Geforce GT 440 (1080x1920) and the other one on my Intel I7 2600k integrated graphics (rotated 1050x1680). I have Windows 10 build 1607, intel i7 2600k, nvidia Geforce GT 440, 16GB RAM. Both Designer and Photo crash when moved (or when parts of the UI is moved) to the rotated monitor. I'd be glad to share additional information if needed.

Hi, My MacBook Pro is pretty much dead, which happened very shortly after I got Affinity Designer causing me to search for a new laptop to use affinity on! I then realized some of the computer reviews say most laptops can't display all of the Adobe rgb colors and Adobe rgb contains the cmyk colors; the laptop I had considered first could only display 60% of the Adobe rgb colors. I had previously just started designing for teespring and redbubble products such as pillows, phone cases, bags, shirts, leggings, etc... One company had me use cmyk colors and the other said they can do rgb/srgb etc.... I also looked into an external monitor that could display full Adobe rgb colors, but figured if it's plugged into a laptop that doesn't display all the colors needed, then it probably would effect the external monitor displaying full colors and the same would happen to a drawing tablet seeing it transmits the screen over/mirrors the laptop display? I went to Best Buy and someone there agreed (about the external monitor and the drawing tablet monitor not displaying full color if the laptop doesn't) who did graphic design and said I should get a iMac 5k screen desktop which is powerful and has the best screen (seeing I'm also into photography and music) as well as an iPad maybe for drawing later. I told that person it seems that iPads and Macs have p3 color which is not the same as Adobe rgb and cmyk, especially in blues, greens, and reds. But they said the Mac would be ok........ I don't want to have to spend a ton of money, but I also don't want to think I'm designing with a certain green and have it print a totally different green even with gamut check on because my screen can't display all the colors it should for designing. What computers or iPads do you use for designing to get accurate colors or recommend any drawing tablets? I really want to be able to draw and have accurate colors! Thank you in advance for all your help!!! I'm so excited affinity Designer just came out on the iPad! Also, I would love a 12.9" iPad pro but don't know how to get a new one cheap or when the next ones will be realeased? I figure this generation would be best because it has the better color and processor for designing. Is the 10.5 really small after a while for designing? A lot of people say they like drawing on it better than drawing monitors for many reasons. Which do you prefer? Also, if I got an iPad, would that transfer or count as one of my operating system devices licenses seeing you can have affinity on multiple devices you own with the same os? Or would I have to purchase affinity again?

I downloaded the trial yesterday, and while the tablet works fine with photosop, krita and illustrator, Affinity designer does not response to pressure changes AT ALL. I tried reinstalling the drivers, changing the brushes, fiddling with the setting, rebooting, and nothing seem to work. OS: Windows 10 x64 build 1607 desktop Tablet: Huion 1060P (new 8192)

I was building some fairly large panoramas in Affinity Photo today, pointed AP at 30-40 raw files and sent it on its way. I was working on another (non-AP related) task when my C: drive filled up! I had to scramble to free up some space. Several programs I had started panicking on the low disk space, though I never saw a message from AP. I ended up canceling the rendering of my panos to worry about it later. When I closed AP, several gigs were cleared up on C:. I have a larger data disk that I would prefer to be used for this type of temporary data, but I couldn't find anything in the settings pages that allowed me to change it. Is there a setting for this, and if so, where? Thanks!

The title says it all. Windows shuts down when I am using Affinity Photo. It happens fairly often. I usually have multiple files open. I have run the diagnostic software and cleaned everything there is to clean.

So i've taken quite a few pictures with my camera ready to be stitched into nice panoramas. Except, I cannot drag and drop the files from windows explorer into the New Panorama window of AP. Have I missed a setting or is this simply not possible? It's a bit tedious to search through thousands of photos to find the series i want to stitch. Any Ideas?

I've attached two AD files containing templates: [1] for creating icon/tile assets for a UWP app (if you can't use the Asset Generator of Visual Studio 2017); [2] for creating Microsoft Store art. Even if you use the Asset Generator you can still use the templates to see how your icon will look in various tile sizes/shapes. (The attached image is just there so you can see what you get with the first set of templates.) Basic instructions for each set of templates are included in the AD files themselves.
