  1. More 'Realism' from me again and yes... more 'fluid' and glass, just plain old water in this instance. It's 100% vector..... not even a vector brush used even though I was tempted to use some here and there. Looks a little darker in places than I had wanted compared to the reference image but 'hey ho' I think without the comparison 'it ain't too bad'. As always C & C is welcome 2021-09-01 21-44-30.mp4
  2. Another of my recent works. I enjoy doing realistic pieces and this one I really enjoyed doing. It's all vector, With afterthought I maybe should have omitted or blurred the reflection of the glass on the table as it probably too 'clear' for a reflection on wood. The reference pic was one from Pixabay and there was also a Wine bottle in the pic but I left it out as I wanted to concentrate on the glasses and fire.
  3. One of my recent works. I enjoy doing realistic pieces and this one took quite a while. It's all vector, not sure what the drink is inside the glass but suspect it's Rum & Coke, and the reference pic was one from Pixabay.
  4. I took my stereo Denon and recreated its amplifier with knobs, displays, legs, ports, LEDs, grills (that was the hardest) in Affinity Designer.
  5. My initial install of AfDesigner had a set of default styles which included Metal, Rainbow, Onyx, Glass etc. I used a couple of them. Now looking for them again, they have disappeared and been replaced by a different set of defaults. What happened to them, and how can I get them back please?
  6. Just released! A Leadlighting kit for Affinity! Styles are all 300 DPI tileable textures Great for Both Digital and Print projects! https://www.creativefabrica.com/product/leadlight-designers-kit-for-affinity/
  7. I would like to design glass and gel text like the attached example, which was made with a plugin, that doesn't work in Affinity Photo. I can make the 3D and the shaddow, but not the glass or gel effect. How?
  8. Hi all, I made a HDR-style wallpaper from my autumn picture in Affinity Photo. I used Tone Mapping persona and Artistic text with effects.
  9. I was playing around in Blender and made a 3D glass Affinity logo, decided to do something with it. the background image is from here. Thoughts and opinions welcome. Here is another simple wallpaper I knocked together. Original image by ESA/Hubble.
  10. Hi Guys Wondering if someone can point me in the way of a tutorial that applies to affinity designer , in relatiion to creating highly reflective , glass Orbs. 11. As a UI designer, it'd be mighty handy to have a blur beneath effect. I believe it's pretty self explanatory, but just in case it would automatically blur any pixels below it to the desired value. This would allow a much more rapid workflow for testing out UI iterations on different backgrounds, instead of having to constantly adjust duplicate layers with masks.
