If you’ve purchased from the Mac App Store— updates are done automatically next time you run your software after it is available in the Mac App Store. If this does not happen for you, open the Mac App Store app and go to the Updates page and then Store > Reload page or press CMD+R. This should hopefully force the update to show. Apple sometimes phase roll outs around the world which can mean it may take up to 72 hours for your update to be available. If you’ve purchased from the Affinity Store— each time you start the software it will check for updates and offer to download and install any available update, or in the application main menu there is an option Check for Updates. You can download the latest installer by logging into the affinity store here and find the order in your account and use the "download" button in there. Alternatively, this new release (and previous versions of Affinity Photo for macOS) can be downloaded from this link (that installer is NOT for Mac app store purchases and needs a product key).
  2. I downloaded the Publisher 1.8 update. Now none of my Affinity apps will start up. What the heck is going on?
  3. After I installed 3. update for all three programs, my apps are no longer linked together. Before, when I opened my Publisher file, the other two would open as well and would show on the top tool bar so I could jump between the three programs. Now, they are no longer linked and I have to open all three apps individually, which will make sharing and working on files between the three programs so much more difficult. Does anyone know why or have a solution to the problem? Was I on a beta testing or something because I read a question where someone "wished" they could do something like this, but I have been doing this for at least a year now... I want it back!!!!!

  7. I purchased publisher (1.7.1) on June 3, 2019, for my MacOS and received my product key on the 20th. Shortly after this, on opening the app, an "update" screen appeared, but none of the buttons or link contained work. Instead, if I try to select any option, it freezes. My only option has been to close the popup to access Publisher. I also have Photo and Designer, which work fine. In fact, I recently did an online update at the App Store for Designer and noticed it does not recognize that I already have Publisher, just the other two. Something is amiss. Please advise. Thank you.

  10. Logging into Publisher a message popped up about the new update, but none of the buttons or even the link worked. It froze and I had to do a forced quit.
  11. Running Affinity Publisher on an HP Desktop with Windows 10. Today, 11th April, I opened Affinity Publisher and got a message about an update to 1.8.3, so I downloaded the file, but each time I tried to run it, the update goes past the "allow" screen and "preparing" then I get "set-up failed". I tried again from inside my Affinity account, but again several attempts failed. Now I cannot get into Affinity at all - so it seems the update has removed or corrupted my original copy! When I click on my task bar icon, or through Start-up, even saying "run as administrator" I get: Looking in the crash reports folder there are none for today, the latest being 14th March, so I have added those in case they are relevant. Help please, as I cannot access Publisher now at all. 95b0e1fc-6461-48be-89cf-ee9abaf08aba.dmp d5303f95-7968-4675-b09a-bc78f0f093da.dmp
  12. The update from 1.8.2 to 1.8.3 fails quite early with "Setup failed". The log ends up with the message: +Creating InstallOperation + Path: C:\Program Files\Affinity Photo\ + WantShortcut: False +Requesting operation: SetupUI.InstallOperation +Switching to page: Operation +Starting MsiOperation +Error: Systém nemůže otevřít zadaný soubor nebo zařízení. +MsiOperation result: 110 +Setting result page message: Setup failed The error message says that the specified file or device cannot be opened. Tried to restart the computer, run the setup with administrator rights directly, but did not help.
  13. ALL THREE updates failed and killed my installations. THANKS A LOT!
  14. I have just started affinity photo and been offered an update, which I accepted. The update ran its course and then said "failed to up date". I now cannot start Affinity photo and subsequent downloads have failed to install as well. The program does not now show in my installed programs and I can't uninstall it.

  17. Hi, I'm currently running 1.7.3 and can see that there is an update from this version to 1.8.x The App store shows an update but after clicking on Update, nothing happens and the Update button simply reverts to UPDATE. Occasionally, this changes to OPEN but all that does is launch my current version. I see no option to check for updates so am struggling to get the latest update.
  18. Hi you all, I have two questions about the license. I have read that it is possible to install it in multiple devices. I have a laptop and desktop, both windows. Is it possible? When you write "Updates available as we improve", it means also if you produce a new version with a different number? Example, I bought 1.8, you will update my version up to 1.9/2.0? Thank you in advance, Best V

Memory management improvements. Assorted other small fixes and improvements. Localisation improvements. UPDATING TO THIS VERSION (Free for existing customers) The software version can be seen on the splash screen and the About dialog (in application menu, Affinity Photo > About). NOTE: This was originally released as 1.8.0 on the Affinity Store and the Mac App Store. Affinity Photo 1.8.0 on the Mac App Store had a permission missing that caused a problem with plugins. That build has been replaced with an otherwise identical 1.8.1 build. The Affinity Store version did not have this problem, but has been rebuilt to keep numbering systems in sync with the Mac App Store.

UPDATING TO THIS VERSION (free for existing customers) The software version can be seen on the corner of preferences screen. Your Affinity iPad apps should update automatically next time you run them. However, you do need to be logged in with the same Apple ID you used to buy them. If the automatic update does not happen for you, go to the iPad Store app and go to Updates. Once you’re there, tap near the top of the screen where it states 'Updates' and then hold, pull down and then release. This should manually refresh the updates page. However, don’t panic if the updates are not available for you yet—Apple sometimes phase roll outs around the world and this can take up to 24 hours.
