I'm just new to Affinity Designer and so far loving it, but I was really surprised today to discover there is no capability for setting up macros to speed up the processes I use. It's a feature I rely heavily on in Adobe.
Would love to see this in a future update as I'm sure I'm not the only one who uses macros to speed up workflow.

    Hi everyone,
I'm just new to Affinity Designer and I am wondering if there is an ability to create macros (or actions as Adobe calls them)? I rely on these heavily in Photoshop and Ilustrator to speed up my workflow so not having them in Designer will really slow me down.
Surely I can't be the only person to use these, but from looking around the forums and the web it seems Designer doesn't have them?
Wanted to double check I hadn't missed something before adding this to the feature request.
    Thanks heaps!

I build my own brush customization in every package, but also, I'm a fan of doing all artwork with basic brushes only mostly playing with the flow setting and glazing techniques while painting.
If you are interested in top of the line brushes for Affinity, definitely check Paolo Limoncelli's Daub brushes.

I'd rather go that way than trying to get imported same behavior of PS abr brushes here, maybe is possible, but is a different brush engine, dunno how the internals go, tho.
I was once on the idea that very complex brushes were everything. Today, what I mostly (or...even only) see as an advantage is the good mimicking of traditional media brushes, like what you get in Rebelle or Art Rage, or Paolo's brushes . Even while my main brush usage is pure round brushes with careful settings (with which I mimic traditional painting from time to time). Round basic (non textured) tend to be also faster in performance, in most apps. That said... If at any point I'd plan on going for complex brushes I'd go for this talented artist ones...Just have a glance at his pencils, for example... He even makes several for free, for Affinity.
And I'm no way associated with him or his business, btw.
