  1. Not strange at all! ‘Other New Bugs and Issues in the Beta’ means issues that are new in the beta: in other words, they don’t occur in the release version which preceded the beta. You stated that the behaviour reported in this thread occurs in the current release version, so it isn’t a newly introduced bug. When there really is a bug in the release version, of course it needs to be solved, but the correct place to report it is the main bugs forum rather than this beta bugs forum. However, in this particular case it looks like operator error, not a bug.
  2. We don’t know, of course, whether what follows 2.6.x is going to be 2.7 or 3.0.
  3. Has it been logged internally as an ‘Improvement’ issue? I note that this thread doesn’t currently have an issue-tracking number added as a topic tag.
  4. That issue tag is relatively low numerically, indicating that the issue was logged quite a long time ago.
  5. Many features are common to two or more apps in the suite, using shared core code, so the same applies to any associated bugs.
  6. I don’t have anything to add to Walt’s advice: However, I see that you’ve responded to that suggestion by saying That’s disappointing, especially if it was a few days ago.
  7. In other words, this doesn’t only occur in 2.6.4 beta, so it doesn’t belong in this section of the forums. You should only post to ‘Other New Bugs and Issues in the Beta’ if the behaviour that you observe in the beta doesn’t occur in the latest release version.
  8. Once again, you’ve posted a video that stops just after you drag out the text cursor! Please show us what happens when you start typing a word.
  9. If I’m not mistaken, there’s no guarantee that a fix will be implemented in any 2.x release version, never mind 2.6.4.
  10. An account isn’t something that you purchase, it’s simply a place to keep track of your purchases and downloads. Please clarify whether you’re interested in purchasing one app for multiple users or multiple apps for multiple users. It might make the discussion easier if you tell us which apps you’re interested in (Designer, Photo or Publisher), which platforms (Mac, Windows or iPad), and how many users would be using them on each of the three computers.
  11. Also, how does the behaviour in the beta differ from the behaviour in the release version? The issue (if there is one!) should only be reported here in the ‘Other New Bugs and Issues in the Betas’ section if the release version behaves differently.
  12. In other topics here, including bug fix lists, that area is usually referred to as the “pasteboard”.
  13. If the same apps work on your Mac Studio desktop machine but not on your MacBook Pro laptop, “Must be the programs” strikes me as an odd inference to make! What version(s) of macOS are you using?
  14. Do you have anything running in the background such as a utility that could be intercepting keystrokes?
  15. The sad thing is that a Blend Tool was not only on the roadmap while version 1 of Affinity Designer was still in active development, but it was there in Serif’s previous drawing application, DrawPlus. Even in its original form, where it could only create evenly spaced blend objects in a straight line, it was still a useful tool.
  16. The problem with pasting in formatted text is that (even if you can choose one of several formats) you’re entirely dependent on what happens to be available on the clipboard, and that is clearly not under the control of the receiving application.
  17. Much of the special interest expressed here seems to be specifically around 1-bit BMP export.
  18. Welcome to the Serif Affinity Forums, @Art Bone. Which of the Affinity apps are you using? Are you drawing with an Apple Pencil, another kind of stylus, or your finger? Which iPad model do you have?
  19. Welcome back to the Serif Affinity Forums, @larsonmars. As you can see from the list of followers, Serif staff member @NathanC (who replied to the original post) is one of the 16 forum members who are currently following this thread. There’s also a topic tag, probably added by Nathan, indicating that the issue has been logged in Serif’s internal issue tracking system as AF-3679.
  20. As noted in the post that you quoted, discounts are announced on Affinity social media pages. Also as noted, you can subscribe to their newsletter: go to your Notification Settings page and put a tick in the ‘Email’ checkbox.
  21. I think ‘~/Library/Application Support’ is a Mac-only thing.
  22. As far as I’m aware, BMP is always lossless whereas JPEG is always lossy. PNG compression is always lossless and TIFF compression can be either. The availability (or not!) of different compression methods may be a significant factor in the choice of a preferred format.
