I already think that it's convivial. Can you specify? -
Auto Trace for Affinity Designer
Fatih19 replied to BrightBold's topic in Older Feedback & Suggestion Posts
I have suspicion that when Serif released it, it has an AI for shape recognition so that they don't just make jagged vector shape with thousands of nodes. -
In my humble opinion, the pressure control in AD is too simplistic. I suggest the developer to implement something like this. If you worry about cluttered UI, you can hide it behind an "advanced" button. Or set it like grid and guide manager. In the right, there should be a list of mathematical function (like the brush pressure editing) and save profile. This is just a suggestion, the developer of course know better and i believe they could expand on this better. .

When does the beta will be published? I didn't know there is a beta version you can try before the update is released. -

!.8 foreshadowing? Also, you still have a lot of time until 1.7 dropped so *wink*. If it makes it too cluttered, can't you just put advanced button in it? -

That's why I advice you (IF you want to implement it) to put it behind an "advanced" button like your grid and axis manager. -

Shouldn't you put root 265/225 on both W and H to retain it's shape? -

Will this thread grow longer as you implement more stuff in 1.7? -
I fully support this. This is very useful in text creation.

Colored Fonts - Affinity Designer
Fatih19 replied to Uncle Mez's topic in Older Feedback & Suggestion Posts
Unfortunately, this is not in the roadmap so if they will implement this, it will be in 2.x version or above. They need to implement this tho, this is a very useful thing to have as an Illustrator. In all of their software IMO.- 17 replies

Colored Fonts - Affinity Designer

Yes, agreed. I think people got carried over by the fancy grid capabilities (which is really nice and cool) that they think AD is a CAD program. It's an illustration software, not technical drawing. Sure, some technical stuff here and there is important (mainly to distance AD from Ai) but let's not get carried away, shall we?- 17 replies

Can't you just use pinegrow and learn HTML? Serif is a small company. -
