[AD suggestion for working with CURVES in Dynamic tab (Brush settings))]

Idea is on mockup itself. Two features to implement.

1 st - snap control point to crosses (red circles for examples)

2nd - to switch grid between stock 4x4 and 8x8 (just example)

Yes, zoom in/out refresh it, but until you done it, all movements are making mess on canvas. Also even after zoom in/out - the preview area in navigator tab is still messy.

1. Create new pixel layer.

2. Make gradient fill

3. Undo gradient fill.

4. Try to move brush over the canvas or to draw something with brush.

Do you see this bug?

This bug is actual for:

- Affinity Photo for iPad last version.

I can not attach JPG, the forum replies error, the jpeg is 4096x2048 - 32 MB. Is there some limitations?

[Grass brush for AP - updated to v.0.2]

Hi guys. I want to take part in help for Affinity Photo. Here is custom make grass brushes and example, that was made by me. If you have any comments or ideas to add/fix them - i will adjust/update them.

Each brush - it is not only one image, but at least 3 different variations of it. So when you draw - it draws in series 1,2,3,1,2,3,....like frames in movies - so the grass texture looks more natural and random.

The brush rotates according to drawing direction/route. If you don't need it - got to brush settings Dynamic/Rotation jitter - and set it to ZERO %

 

2017.12.24 - Version updated to 0.2. See attached pictures for explanations   Also i attach small palette for green hues.

2017.12.18 - They are 4 brushes. First 3 - intensity brushes, and last one - image brush.

MEB, thank you for explanation. I just experimenting with bitmap brushes and try to compare with another bruches. But now i understand.

Hello, i importing these brushes Fur & Hair , but they are not appearing in the brush section. Also i try to import them again, and it added number 2 " Fur & Hair  2" and still not visible in the list of brush sets. In the same time i try to import another brush set - and it is look ok and i can see just imported brush set in the drop down list. Is it common thing? AP 1.6.2.97.

This could be different - due to different DPI settings in each document. Jpeg sometimes (most of the time) has no correct DPI settings. To adjust it - enter Document / Resize Document - remove checkbox from Resample - and enter correct DPI for entire document.

Thanks a lot I finally catch how to solve this bug. And was able to correct it. I check this EPS both in Corel X7 and PS CS5.1 - there were no any issues with it. This EPS file imports flowless in both - Corel and PS. But why it happens in AP ?

I am also looking for this. Very handy feature for working with lettering. In designer i can use only Texture Brushes - but their functionality is very limited.

I make this from the start. Make duplicate and adjust several brushes for my purposes, BUT the custom curve adjustment for DIRECTION controller is not saving. All other numerical adjustments are ok - but this adjustment is not keeping and resetting after Affinity Photo restarting. I cant make a screenshot of this curve - you see it in right part of DIRECTION controller in first message 2nd screenshot.

Now about EPS - it is not outside or offset the working area. Look to attached screenshot. The imported/placed EPS is on top - and still i see just working boundaries. I am familiar with Photoshop since CS3, but here i cant figure out - what is wrong. EPS file attached in first message.

First of all - greeting to everybody and to Affinity Team

1. I try to place EPS file - just simple one. I dont see anything, just bounding frame - what i am doing wrong? I make this EPS from Corel X7, import there my lettering from Affinity Photo - convert it to curves and trying to place back in vector format.

2. About updating. If i purchase Affinity Photo - it will be free update for up to 1.xx version, or even for 2.xx also?
